The renovation restores and re-connects the living space with the kitchen, a significant social center for the home. A reduced palette was selected to compliment and highlight the existing historical detailing. Kitchen cabinets are finished with white high gloss enamel and countertops are Shivikashi Granite. A new guest bath occupied the former elevator shaft featuring ming green marble tiles. A new master suite features a restored baroque fireplace, new bath with built-in armoire. Clerestory glass allows light to flow throughout the spaces.
