"If...Then" Young Architect's forum exhibition
Completion: 2004

Given the speculative context of the competition If…Then, our office took the opportunity to rethink and question methods for the development of form, site, program, technology, and material. We became interested in creating an installation where the resultant architectural form is the culmination of actions and re-actions. This was to be an experiment to explore and challenge our intuitions. Working within the logic of self-similar metal brackets and a set of spatial parameters we sought to make a piece that was both sculpture and interactive display. We conceived this framework to be dialogical in nature, from the process of construction to the required participation of the subjective viewer. The installation and the works presented within it observe, react to, and elicit responses from the users.
