Public Art Installation
The Tilt-Down Fence is a public installation project celebrating the societal and cultural contributions of immigrants in collaboration with local neighborhood organizations and immigrant advocacy groups. Tilt-Down Fence was a temporary urban stage, a place and space for the local community and more. The one-month installation was a series of 7 ladders that transformed into picnic tables at Fields Corner that activated the space to bring communities together. It’s climbing structure [the economic ladder] and framework for adults to gather, support and network towards upwards mobility. Being sited near the MBTA public bus stop, Tilt-Down Fence served the community at large, the VietAID Au Co pre-schoolers, parents and elderly population.
