Located on the coveted first block of Newbury Street just west of Boston Public Garden, this project transformed a dated and dreary storefront and lobby into two elegant, welcoming spaces. With only one narrow hallway leading to the street, natural lighting was limited in the lobby space. A glass door maximizes the transference of outside light. Inside, recessed lights create a warm glow that reflect across the ceiling and floor. The lobby features Italian tile flooring, while the walls are made of top-of-the-line Forms+Surfaces metal panels in light hues. At the neighboring retail storefront, eye-level bay windows capture the attention of passersby. Overhead panels embrace the circular theme solidified by three supporting columns.
